Securing planning permits for retrospective works in the Green Wedge Zone is no easy task, but Canter Town Planning thrives on overcoming challenges.
Our recent success at Jalta Court, Keysborough involved obtaining approval for retrospective works for a tennis court, outbuilding, storage shed, greenhouse, gravel driveway, and associated works. Given the complexities of working within the Green Wedge Zone, securing this permit required strategic negotiation and expert technical input.
A key highlight of this project was working alongside Ruban Kalaruban from TSK Consultants, a stormwater engineering expert, to address Melbourne Water’s stringent requirements. We also had the pleasure of working along long-time friend of the firm Simo Jovanovic from Jova Drafting Consultants who assisted with high quality development architectural plans. Retrospective approvals often face heightened scrutiny, particularly when it comes to stormwater management and environmental impacts. With Ruban’s expertise and our determined advocacy, we secured a solution that satisfied Melbourne Water and council regulations after much negotiation. Big thanks to Ruban for his invaluable contribution!
Through persistence and strategic planning, we successfully engaged with local council authorities, ensuring a fair and balanced approach to the works. Despite initial challenges, the permit was granted, allowing our client to proceed with the retrospective works confidence.
At Canter Town Planning, we thrive on solving complex planning challenges and securing approvals that others may find difficult. Whether you’re dealing with retrospective works, new developments, or challenging zoning restrictions, our team is here to help you navigate the process smoothly and efficiently.
