We’re excited to share another great outcome for Construction Training Group (CTG), with planning approval now granted for a Section 72 amendment at Kingsley Close, Rowville. The amendment allows the center to increase student capacity to 60 and utilize part of the site for outdoor practical training. ✅
Instead of constructing new buildings, this strategic amendment makes smarter use of the existing site, creating a more flexible and functional training environment for key courses such as:
✔️ Forklift and Boom Operation
✔️ Traffic Management
✔️ Earthmoving and EWPA Yellowcard
✔️ Working at Heights
The amendment also formalizes a car parking agreement with a neighboring property, expanding the available parking supply to 34 spaces, which is well above the statutory requirement.
👏 A huge thank you to RedSquare Traffic for their extensive and terrific work on the Traffic Impact Assessment and supporting documentation. Their detailed analysis and evidence-based approach were instrumental in justifying the parking arrangements and demonstrating that the proposal delivers practical training capacity without adverse traffic impacts.
This approval allows CTG to continue providing high-quality, industry-aligned education within an established commercial precinct, enhancing workforce skills, safety, and career pathways across Victoria’s construction sector. 🏗️
