🏡 Keeping the Doors Open: Home-Based Business Secured in Dandenong North

We’re proud to share another successful planning outcome, helping our client continue operating their home-based education and migration consultancy at Devira Street, Dandenong North after concerns were raised about whether the business could continue operating.

After reviewing the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme, we identified that the business satisfied the exemption requirements under Clause 52.11 – Home Based Business. Rather than requiring a planning permit, the business simply needed the right planning justification and formal confirmation from Council.

Our team coordinated the survey, prepared town planning drawings, completed a detailed Clause 52.11 assessment and managed the Certificate of Compliance application from start to finish.

On 25 June 2026, the City of Greater Dandenong issued a Certificate of Compliance, confirming the home-based business complies with Clause 52.11 and the endorsed Canter Town Planning plans and supporting documentation.

A key part of our assessment was demonstrating that the business occupied only 35.78 sqm of the dwelling, remaining well within the home-based business exemption while ensuring the property continued to function primarily as a residence.
