We’re pleased to share another successful planning outcome, with approval secured for a Section 72 amendment at Cheltenham Road, Keysborough.
This amendment modernizes an outdated permit and unlocks significantly greater operational capacity, supporting improved healthcare access while maintaining the existing use of the site.
💡 What Was Involved?
The original permit restricted practitioner numbers based on outdated parking controls. We reframed the assessment under current Clause 52.06 provisions, applying the Principal Public Transport Network (PPTN) rate to demonstrate a more appropriate parking outcome.
While the proposal results in a minor on-site car parking shortfall, a detailed Traffic Impact Assessment prepared by RedSquare Traffic confirmed that the site can comfortably accommodate the uplift. This is supported by its arterial road location, strong public transport access, and the introduction of new on-site bicycle facilities to promote alternative transport modes.
